Mazur’s Bakery of Lyndhurst,
New Jersey as of September 5, 2003 has changed hands
over to Spiekermann’s Bakery of Union City, New
Jersey combining over 150 years of baking expertise
and tradition. Mazur’s Bakery has been in business
since 1937. It is also one of Bergen County’s
finest bakeries. Joe Spiekermann the new owner of Mazur’s
Bakery is the grandson of Frank Spiekermann, the founder
of Spiekermann’s Bakery, which was established
in 1919. Joseph Spiekermann
Sr., Joe’s dad, made the bakery a “household
name” in Hudson County, New Jersey as he continued
the family business. Joe has expanded the business into
one of the most successful bakeries in the metropolitan
area. Now with the acquisition of Mazur’s Bakery
the Spiekermann family business is about to enter a
new era.
The Spiekermanns: Joe, his wife Roseann,
and their lovely daughters, Jaclyn, Donna, and Suzanne,
invite you to see for yourself the amazing varieties
of breads, cakes, and countless other bakery products
available to you. Joe proudly says. “We know once
you try our products, we’ll be your only bakery.”
Mazur’s bakery is now the most
complete bakery because it can serve the needs of anyone
who walks into the store – whether the customer
needs a cup of coffee and a donut or a wedding cake
to feed 800 people and everything in between. It is
also complete because now, Mazur’s in the finest
Spiekermann tradition supplies the most prestigious
accounts on the East Coast. Customers include: Zabar’s,
The New York Yankees, Pegasus at the Meadowlands, as
well as international airports, dozens of country clubs,
and wholesale clubs like Costco and BJ’s.
The retail store which provides over
1,000 items to customers daily, has one of the most
“looked at” store fronts in New Jersey.
The two windows are wonderful spectacles for the local
town person on their way home from work or the weekend
traveler who visits a special loved one nearby. To get
a closer look, one window displays the elaborate wedding
cakes that are designed by some of the top decorators
in New Jersey. Gazing into the second window will show
a magnificent seasonal display all year round.
The bakery manufactures 365 days out
of the year and seven days a week. From one bakery family
to the next, and five generations gone by, the Spiekermann’s
tradition has been to keep the “family owned bakery”
on the map.
